Edit workshop evaluation
How did you use 180 degree, rule of thirds and match on action?
In our production we used the 180 degree quite well as we kept the camera on the same shoulder, so it looked smooth instead of looking rough and jumpy. With the rule of thirds at first we didn't keep the eye contact of the two people at the same level which made it look weird when I was editing the clips, but after re-shooting we included the rule of thirds and it made conversation that was going more fluent. When it came to editing I think the match on action gave my film more effect and adding it in was quite straight forward to do.
what challenges did you face during production? What would you change if you were to film again?
The challenges that I faced during production was having to re-take a few different shots over again because I either entered the room to early or that the conversation wasn't going smoothly so we had to keep filming until we got the dialogue right. If I was to film again, I don't think that I would want to change anything to be honest besides being able to get the conversation scenes done quicker so that we can get the other shots done quickly.
what challenges did you face during post-production? what would you change if you were to edit again?
During post production I didn't face any problems at all, I found Imovie an easy software to use. The man who helped me explained how to cut and put clips together and then later he showed me how to edit the clips, that I wanted to be match on action by using precision editing which made it much easier and when I played my film back the edit I had made was smooth and it linked together well. If I was to edit again I wouldn't change anything as I am quite happy with the outcome of my work.
what are the overall strengths of your work?why? creativity, planning and research. digital technology, post production?
Overall, I think that the strengths of our work is that we followed our storyboards through and that we tried to include variety of shots e.g match on action. I enjoyed the planning part of it as I find a storyboard easy to follow and it explains the shots more clearly. With post production I enjoyed putting all the clips together and didn't find it difficult to do.

what are the overall weaknesses of your work?why? creativity, planning, and research, digital technology, post production?
The weaknesses of my work is that I think that at some points the camera was positioned wrong, so when it came to editing it looked unbalanced. Another weakness I think would be that there wasn't enough originality included. Also that in some shots we are in different positions than from the previous shot, which made it look slightly untidy.

what overall improvements would you make to your work?why?
Overall, I think I would make quite a few improvements mainly to have a more creativity to be put into it, which would also make it more interesting. Another improvement would be to try and not smile while exchanging dialogue. But, overall I am glad with the outcome of my work and I know what to include in my work for next time.
